Truck Crashes

Tractor trailer crashes are different than car crashes.

A fully loaded 18-wheeler weighs about 80,000 pounds. When it hits a regular passenger car, the damage can be catastrophic—to the car and its occupants. That is why truck drivers have to go through extensive training before being allowed to take the wheel of such a dangerous machine.

Unfortunately, some trucking companies hire drivers with a history of speeding, an inability to read road signs in English, or even a history of causing prior crashes. While most automobile collisions are preventable, tractor trailer collisions are the most preventable of all. Very often these crashes could have been prevented by a trucking company doing a thorough job of vetting their drivers.

Zeb Snyder has a special interest in trucking cases. He lost a friend to a tractor trailer collision many years ago, so he feels a duty to do his part to fight dangerous trucking companies. He has sought out advanced training on handling trucking cases and regularly studies the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Zeb also is part of a network of trucking lawyers around the country.
